Pathfinders (Kindergarten, ages *5-6) Girls earn necklace beads for attendance, participation, and Bible verse memorization, while learning the four parts of the AHG Oath. They receive the Fanny Crosby Award for completion of this level. Pathfinders wear the official Pathfinder uniform polo & navy skirt/slacks. Required: AHG Pathfinder Package (Pathfinder T-Shirt, Necklace Kit and Handbook) Optional:  Casual Class B Uniform T-Shirt (worn when formal uniform not appropriate)

Tenderhearts (Grades 1st- 3rd, ages *6-9) Tenderhearts earn achievement badges from any of the six 'Frontiers of Skill.' Tenderhearts may earn the Sacagawea Level Award for achieving the highest level of skill and service at this level.  They may earn their Faith award, and activity patches for special events.  Service stars are awarded for every 5 hours of community service.  Tenderhearts wear the official Tenderheart vest with a white polo & navy skirt or slacks. Required:  Tenderheart Vest Package (red vest, flag patch, AHG membership pin, navy neckerchief, and set of 4 Troop numbers “0465”) Required:  AHG Girl White Polo or a generic white polo Required:  Girl Handbook Optional:  Casual Class B Uniform T-Shirt (worn when formal uniform not appropriate)

Explorers ( grades 4th-6th, ages *9-12) Explorers earn achievement badges in any of the six 'Frontiers of Skill' and service stars are awarded for every 10 hours of community service and they may earn the religious award and activity patches for special events. The Lewis and Clark Level Award is earned by those girls who achieve the highest level of skill and service in this age group. Explorers wear the official Explorer vest, white AHG polo & khaki skirt or slacks. Pioneers, grades 6th-9th, ages *12-14) A Pioneer continues to earn achievement badges, service stars, the religious award, and activity patches, while also developing their leadership skills by assisting with planning, organizing, and leading special events. The highest award level for Pioneers is the Harriet Tubman Level Award.  Pioneers wear the official Pioneer sash, AHG white polo & khaki skirt or slacks. Required:  Pioneer/Patriot sash package includes: navy sash, flag patch, AHG membership pin, and set of 4 Troop numbers (0465) Required:  AHG Girl White Polo or Generic White Polo Required:  Girl Handbook Optional:  Casual Class B Uniform T-Shirt (worn when formal uniform not appropriate)

Patriots (Grades 10-12, ages *14-18) The Patriot is the highest program level in AHG, planning and carrying out activities with Unit Leaders who function as “facilitators,” allowing girls to make decisions on a regular basis.  They still earn achievement badges, religious awards, service stars, and activity patches.  The level award for the Patriots is the Dolley Madison Level Award, but Patriot girls may go above and beyond to earn the highest honor of the American Heritage Girls: the Stars and Stripes Award. Patriots wear the official Patriot sash, AHG red polo & khaki skirt or slacks. Required:  Pioneer/Patriot sash package includes: navy sash, flag patch, AHG membership pin, and set of 4 Troop numbers (0465) Required:  AHG Girl or Generic Red Polo  Required:  Girl Handbook Optional:  Casual Class B Uniform T-Shirt (worn when formal uniform not appropriate)

*Minimum age requirements must be met October 31 of the program year in which the girl is registering.
